She is shown with a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other while sun rays fill the background field.

The reverse of 1 oz Gold Eagles features one of two designs. Coins issued from 1986 to early 2021 depict a family bald eagles in and around a nest. Coins issued as of mid-2021 depict the head of an American bald eagle in right-profile relief.
